India’s largest robotics competition for children, IRO will have participants from 225 schools across Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Surat.
NEW DELHI / BENGALURU, India – September 16, 2015 – Indian Robotics OlympiadTM (IRO) 2015 India’s largest robotics competition for children between 9 to 21 years is expected to have 709 participants this year from 225 schools across Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Surat. The final rounds will be held in Delhi NCR on 26th September and 27th September 2015 in collaboration with National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and with support from District Administration, Gurgaon.
The IRO is the Indian Chapter of World Robot Olympiad that provides a unique platform for students to showcase their talent and creativity and represent India at the international levels. In its 10th year, IRO has grown with enthusiastic participation from children cutting across multiple cities thereby making it bigger and popular. IRO 2015 will send 25 teams to the ensuing WRO scheduled to take place at Qatar in November this year.
