Venue: Royal Beach Garden, Juhu, Mumbai
Mumbai, India – January 16, 2017 – TAIT, the leading IT Association of India, as part of its networking meets organised the annual Winter Mela for its members. The much-awaited event was already causing ripples of excitement three weeks prior to the event.
“The TAIT Winter Mela is one event which members look forward to every year“, said Mr Parag Shah, Director, TAIT. Along with fellow directors Ajay Parekh and Devang Thakore, Mr. Shah was responsible for creating the framework and managing the execution for the event. Considered a marquee event in the entire IT Partner Community pan-India, the show attracted about 600 enthusiastic participants – TAIT members, their families and guests from the IT industry.
The event was conceptualised by TAIT members Rahul Zaveri and Manish Kapasi, ably assisted by TAIT Directors – Samir Mehta, Magan Gangani and Kripashankar Chaube. The theme selected for the gala event was “Bollywood Nite” – accordingly, huge cutouts of popular cine personalities were set up all around the venue, where the stars of the night were the esteemed TAIT members and their loved ones. The cutouts proved to be an excellent backdrop for photoops and selfie moments, which were lapped up by the guests.
The infectious bonhomie at the TAIT Winter Mela brought back fond memories for many members. Umesh Ashar who has been handling guest registrations for the past several years said he was overwhelmed with the enthusiasm, going by the serpentine queues at the entrance. The highlight of the event was the Bollywood Quiz played on the large LED screen, which ended in a nail-biting finish.
Children kept the Tattoo Artist busy, while it was the ladies thronging the Nail Art counter. There were plenty of prizes for the children to win at the special game counters.
Viren Bavishi and Samir Parekh, Directors of TAIT, who oversaw the Food & Beverage arrangements, along with Pravin Dhoka and Girish Rathod, left no stone unturned to ensure that the lavish spread not only provided guests with a wide variety of cuisine options, but also left everlasting gastronomical memories to savour.
‘Family Gift Packs’ were distributed in keeping with the festive season spirit and Vikram Mehta of Techmatrix pitched in with special Kaspersky anti-virus packs.
Members reciprocated the efforts of the TAIT Winter Mela team with generous accolades and praise for putting up what could arguably be rated as ‘India’s Best IT Industry Association Gala Event’. Himanshu of Meentack, Kunal Gandhi of Syscon and Vikas Shah of Impetus, to name a few, were among those who poured out their sentiments and emphasised that the entire community looks forward to the next edition of the event.
